The Problem
When travelling abroad & looking for live shows, fans find it difficult to maneuver between tons of ticket vendors & booking apps.
The Solution
A search engine app that gives all the info needed of live Metal music performances all around the world. The Idea is to create a worldwide focused community under one app, that can create connections between travelling Metalheads, when abroad.
Idea
🌟 App Features
The App has many tools to bare: Personal profile, Band & Club info with booking area, ticket market, chat area, user reviews & location map.
Research
📊 Visual research & Competitive Analysis
When looking for inspiration, I searched for apps that are focused on Booking musical events & Affiliated with Alternative lifestyle connected to Metal Music.
There is no app that is focused on Metal music live bookings. Most of the Apps are focusing on news, or background of bands, booking tickets is reserved only to the open mainstream music market.
These are some of the apps I took inspiration from:
TicketMaster
RA Guide
Band is In Town
Loud Wire
Gimme Metal
Stub Hub
Wireframes
When starting on building the app, I took insipration for the wireframes from a previous app I made, called Gostage (You can check it out in my portfolio). It has a variety of options connected to choosing a venue, or a stage for freelance sound engineers to make their life easier when booking work in a new place. First I built the main menu, then focused on the venue screens. Then, I continued looking on other music apps for the band's portfolio. Afterwards when reaching to other flows in regards of finding tickets, I decided to work on a dropdown menu, that give much easier flow for the user to focus his search area for gigs, then a fillout forms.
While working on the app, I noticed I designed it with too much color grading. Then I decided to reduce the colors of the app, it to main 4 colours: grey, purple, red and gold. Giving it a darker feel.
